1982 HONDA CB900 CUSTOM:

The Honda CB900C is a cruiser motorcycle produced by Honda from only 1980 to 1982 primarily for the American market. It was styled as a custom/tourer in competition with Harley-Davidson and Indian. This is very original and mostly unrestored example currently shows 10,000 miles on the odometer (Note because of it's age, we can not confirm or deny original mileage). It is still fitted with its original Comstar wheels, original paint combo and more. The Honda CB900C is one of the most rare and unusual bikes Honda ever made. It has a ten-speed gearbox: five ‘normal’ ratios and then a dual-range high/low selector, much like you’d find in a vintage Land Rover. It also has shaft drive adapted from the Goldwing, air-assisted forks and shocks that need to be pumped up with a bicycle pump, and a kerb weight of nearly 600 pounds.

The CB900c has front and rear air assisted suspension, shaft drive, and a dual-range sub-transmission ( a 5 speed gear box, with dual range!!). It is equipped with a air/oil cooled DOHC 902 cc (55.0 cu in) engine, has 4 - 32 mm Keihin CV carburetors and electronic ignition. The front suspension relies on air pressure for preload while the rear uses air as the main springing medium. The bike has two front disc brakes and a single rear disc. The frame was derived from the European CB900F, extended 2 inches to accommodate the sub-transmission components. The sub-transmission involves a jack shaft that allows the rider to select a "high" or "low" range for the five gears, effectively giving an overdrive 6th speed for cruising. It is outfitted with factory Honda accessories (detachable wind screen, removable side saddlebags and passenger backrest and rear rack) to help make the CB900C a touring motorcycle.

This 1982 Honda CB900C Custom was acquired from a local estate, reportedly from a very long term owner, and it now shows 10k miles. finished in two-tone Candy Empire Blue and Candy Blue, and Honda wing badges accent the 4.4-gallon fuel tank, the motorcycle is powered by a 902cc DOHC inline-four linked to a five-speed transmission with selectable high and low ranges. It also features an enclosed driveshaft, a quartet of Keihin carburetors, a four-into-two exhaust system, air-assisted suspension, triple disc brakes, 19? front and 16? rear ComStar alloy wheels, a stepped two-up seat and a rear grab bar, and both center and side stands.

This beauty appears to mostly original in condition with great paint and chrome - a real must see!!
